In Pennsylvania, you may be eligible for expungement of a criminal record under a number of circumstances, including (but not limited to)

• freedom from arrest or conviction for a five year period following conviction on the offense you want expunged.
• there has been no disposition of a charge for 18 months after the date of the arrest
• you were charged with an alcohol-related offense and have met all the terms and conditions of the sentence imposed

An expungement will essentially seal certain criminal records, so that they will not be visible. The records expunged can include identifiable descriptions, dates and notations of arrests, indictments, informations and other formal charges or dispositions.
